Brenda's Status Quo Concert, "Heineken Music Hall"

Meet and Greet Amsterdam - The Netherlands - 28-10-2001

At 10 o'clock we went to Amsterdam, next a stop at the Mc Donald’s near Schiphol. We were not the only Quo fans there :)

After the break we went to the Heineken Music Hall. At the entrance we had to give our camera to the security because it was a digital one :( You can imagine we were very disappointed!!

Finally we went to the back of the hall and were picked up at 20.30 by Simon who brought us up by elevator. My heart was beating very fast. I already took my cd’s to make it easier when I was standing in front of my heroes. And YES there was Rickkk. Now the autograph on my shirt and then I saw my Hero FRANCIS also a handshake, I was too shy to kiss him oops... I asked him: “Would you sign your solo cd’s for me please” and he answered: “Are you sure?” Yes!! “All right then here you are”. Then my father came with his T-shirt and Francis said with a smiling face: “Ha is this you daughter” “Nice girl” and then he said: “I need some pen and ink here” “Oww you have one great!!”

After that  I asked Peter to make a picture of Francis and me, so I put my arm around his shoulder and gave him a hug. Francis laughed and said "sweet girl". After that of course a photo with Rick. A pity when I asked him for his plectrum he just gave it to the youngest Quo fan. I didn’t mind that and Rick said: “Next time ok? I will throw it in the audience for you” After the autographs on my Quo Vadis T-Shirt, my father's shirt and the cd’s King of the Doghouse, Give myself to love (Francis Solo), Don’t Stop and Under the Influence we had to say goodbye.

In total it was about 20 minutes but to me it seemed like only 20 seconds. Blushing with excitement, after the meet and greet, I went  to the elevator heading for the concert.
